Jim Owens is a Colorado Native, growing up in Rifle. Jim attended the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs , receiving his degree in Business Marketing as well as graduating from the PGA Professional Golf Management Program in 2008.
Jim was elected to PGA Membership in 2009. Upon graduating Jim worked seasonally at the Golf Club at Ravenna during the summer months and Desert Highlands Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona during the winter months. Most recently, Jim has spent the last five years at Cherry Hills Country Club as the lead Assistant Golf Professional.
Jim is honored to join the team at Cherry Creek Country Club. He looks forward to getting to know the membership and continue the traditions of Cherry Creek Country Club. While Jim is away from the golf course he enjoys spending time hiking the Colorado backcountry and traveling with his wife Sara. 
Name: Ross Mclean, PGA

Originally from Boulder, Colorado Ross has been playing golf since the young age of 5.  Ross graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs earning his marketing degree while enrolled in the Professional Golf Management Program. Ross was elected to PGA membership in November 2012.

Ross has previously worked at Olympia Fields, Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, Whisper Rock Golf Club, Tonto Verde Golf Club and most recently at the Denver Country Club for the last three years.

He is an experienced teacher as well as superior club fitter. Ross is a very skilled player and enjoys all aspects of the game. Ross is really looking forward to joining the staff here at Cherry Creek and getting to meet all of you very soon.

Name: Kimmy Bean, PGA
Position: Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional

Kimmy joins our team as an experienced PGA professional whose previous employment includes Red Rocks Country Club and CommonGround Golf Course.

She was elected to PGA membership in April 2013. Since then, she has gone on to win the 2013 CAGGY as Best Instructor for Women (a People’s Choice Award). Over the last two years, Kimmy has excelled in facilitating junior camps and clinics, pee-wee golf programming, and women’s clinics. She is excited to bring more enjoyment of the game to the members at Cherry Creek Country Club.

Kimmy grew up in Loveland, Colorado and played competitive golf throughout her high school years. She attended the University of Colorado as an Evans Scholar, earning a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting. She currently enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, and attending sporting events of all varieties.

Her unique background in both business and golf bring a distinctive skill set to our team. 

Name: Michael Pope, PGA
Position:Assistant Golf Professional

Michael was born as raised in Creemoor, NC and stayed in North Carolina for his time in college at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. Michael came to Cherry Creek CC in May of 2015 for his final PGM Internship for school.
After finishing his final internship here in October of 2015, he traveled to the Southern California Desert to PGA West to continue work through the winter. After Graduating College in December 2015, he was elected to PGA membership in January 2016. Now Michael moves with the seasons splitting his time between Cherry Creek CC and PGA West.
Michael enjoys spending time on the golf course and at The Club, but outside of golf he enjoys hiking, and spending time with friends. If you don’t know Michael he encourages you to come and talk to him in the Golf Shop, he enjoys getting to know the Members here at Cherry Creek CC.

Name: Elizabeth Gourmos

Elizabeth is a true Colorado native, raised in Denver. Elizabeth attended Grandview High School, graduating in 2006. She traded in the snowy mountains of Colorado for the sunny beaches of Florida to become a student at the University of Miami, where she received a full scholarship to become a Cheerleader for the Hurricanes. Elizabeth was just as talented off the field as she was on the field, being placed on the academic Dean’s List all four years.

Elizabeth came to us from Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club where she spent the past 5 years as the Buyer/ Merchandiser. For the past four years, Elizabeth has been a part of the Association of Golf Merchandising (AGM) staying up to date on the latest golf fashion and merchandising trends. She is excited to bring her knowledge and talent to Cherry Creek Country Club. Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys time with family and friends and she spends her free time participating in outdoor water activities, shopping, and traveling.

Elizabeth is looking forward to providing the members at Cherry Creek Country Club with excellent customer service and a friendly face in the Golf Shop.
