In 2007 Matt Lombardi moved to Denver to grow-in and establish Cherry Creek Country Club. At the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ, Matt grew-in the new 18 hole course designed by Tom Fazio II, hosting the 2006 AJGA Fidelity Investments Junior Championship. Matt received his B.S. in Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences specializing in Turf Management from Virginia Tech University.

Phillip joined the Cherry Creek Country Club team in October 2016. Prior to moving to Denver, Phillip worked at some of America's best courses including Merion Golf Club, Secession Golf Club, and most notably, Augusta National Golf Club. While at Augusta National, Phillip served as the Par 3 Golf Course Manager and was involved in the enhancement and renovation process in preparation for the first live broadcast of the annual Par 3 Contest on ESPN. He was also highly involved in tournament preparations for the Masters Tournament, televised both nationally and internationally. Phillip received his Bachelor of Agriculture and Environmental Science degree from the University of Georgia with an emphasis in Turfgrass Management and Crop and Soil Science. Most recently, he earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Augusta University with magna cum laude honors. In his spare time, Phillip enjoys spending time with his wife, Laurie and Boykin Spaniel puppy, Grace. He also enjoys playing golf, running and is a UGA Bulldog fan.

Name: Eric Phillips
Position: Assistant Superintendent

In May of 2015, Eric moved from Monterey, CA to become part of the Cherry Creek Country Club family. He was born and raised in Colorado and then graduated from the University of Nebraska Turf Program. While in college, Eric spent all 4 years bowling collegiately. Before joining the team at Cherry Creek, he previously worked at courses around the country, which included Oakmont Country Club, The Broadmoor, and The Links at Spanish Bay inside Pebble Beach.

Name: Tony Carver
Position: 2nd Assistant Superintendent

Tony was born and raised Columbia, IL, a small town located 15 miles southeast of St. Louis. He served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. Tony did 2 deployments in his time in service, one to The Middle East and the other aboard the USS Iwo Jima. He attended community college at Southwestern Illinois College before transferring to Southern Illinois University Carbondale to obtain His Bachelors of Plant and Soil Science specializing in Turf Management. Tony has 2 wonderful parents named Jim and Donna, a stepdad named Chris and 3 brothers; Travis, Matt and Cole. In his off time he enjoys golfing, bowling and hanging out with friends.

Name: Louis Drews
Position: Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

With over 18 years of experience in the landscape industry, Louis has a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes. He prides himself in establishing long-term relationships with clients and being able to provide them a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful seasons we have in Colorado. After being “cooped up” indoors through the winter, its nice to have a relaxing outdoor space to enjoy through our warmer spring, summer and fall months. Louis is a Colorado native and enjoy spending time in the mountains camping with family and friends. He has a beautiful girlfriend of 7 years who loves to cook, which is a good thing because he loves to eat! Louis also has a 19 year old son who loves to beat him in basketball. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
